Garibald (auch Gariwald, Garioald, Gerbald, Chrodoald, Chrodaold, Charoald) ist ein männlicher Vorname, der vermutlich aus den Wörtern ahd. ger ‚Speer‘ und ahd. bald ‚kühn‘ zusammengesetzt ist.

Folgende historische Persönlichkeiten tragen diesen Namen:

• Garibald I. ca. 550–590 Herzog von Bayern, Agilolfinger.
• Garibald II. ab ca. 610 Herzog von Bayern, Agilolfinger.
• Garibald (Langobarde), 671 kurzzeitig König der Langobarden
